Man…another busy weekend for me; and this time is for my buddy Alan and his wife.

It’s totally different feeling on covering the wedding of someone that you have already known for long and close to you. I have multiple identities throughout the process : as “Heng Tai” (brother) and photographer during the wedding; as invited guest and (still) photographer during the wedding banquet. ;)

It was a really tiring 2 days coverage, yet, I am feeling happy with Alan & YY and would like to congrats them once again: Happy Together Forever!!

P/S: it’s nice knowing some of Alan’s Heng Tai from Altera, u guys are funny!!

It’s even more exiting on the actual wedding day for Yew Kai & Choon Choo. When we reached Choon Choo’s place, her room already filled up with her “chee mui” squad…Some preparing for (tough) questions while some were trying to help Choon Choo with her outfit. When it’s time for group photos, everybody just got excited and jumped onto the bed ready to say “cheese”….

and suddenly the bed collapsed!! Hahah~

What a marathon weekend for me and Hayashi

We went to his hometown - Sungai Petani to cover his high school mate - Choon Choo and her hubby’s wedding. The wedding dinner was held at Cinta Sayang Golf & Country Resort, which was a very nice place for such a special occasion (except the lighting was really challenging ;)…). The couple was really eazy to shoot since they really enjoying themselves throughout the night; “yam seng” with almost every tables, meeting friends and relatives, taking photos….. what a night that full of joyfulness.

Thanks to Shee Loo’s invitation, I got the opportunity to be the official photographer covering this exciting event. This “hafla” (belly dance party) organized by the Zero Fitness & Dance Studio was held at Tanjung Bungah Hotel’s Ballroom. The key highlight of the night was the dance performance by the VIP performer Nath Keo from Canana, which was the first professional male belly dancer’s performance in Malaysia…

The excitement went on all night long…

OK, here we go, the second series…

We arrived at a narrow hill road located near Tanjung Bungah and decided give it a shot since the view there’s rather special and none of us had ever explored around this area. This is also part of the reason why I love shooting portrait because sometimes you get to explore a lot of places that you might not even notice during the normal day.

With the help of a new friend - CS (owner of penangtuapui.com), I finally managed to figure out the way to create a direct link from my photoblog to my smugmug gallery! really appreciate his guidance on how to modify the wordpress coding.

You can now browse through my previous photography work by clicking the “My Gallery” on the header; as I am still in progress of uploading, do come back and check out for more from time to time.

;)Enjoy!

Have been “poisoning” Ah Lake and Ow Yong about photography lately since after they move into my neighborhood. They are particularly interest in learning about shooting nightshots, hence Jerejak Jetty has became the best nearby training ground for them.

This shots was taken when Ah Lake wanted to do his practice after the theory session. Photo taken with my Sony R1 without tripod but just putting it on the ground instead. I could have better composed the shot with a tripod at a higher level from the ground.

Date: Oct 25th, 2008
Location: Pulau Tikus & Tanjung Bungah Area
Weather: Cloudy morning to Sunny noon
Model: Michelle
Buddies: Hayashi, Pinky, Teetoo

My impression of this shooting was we did a lot of jumping and running type of actions. I guess mainly due to Michelle is rather a quite girl and we hoped to get her warm her up a little bit with the shooting. But surprisingly none of those crazy actions would drain her stamina out and in fact she was getting more and more into the mood…. I guess that’s the “real” her?

Trying to post up some early session photos first so that I can keep my momentum going….enjoy!
